We got the biggest and best pumpkins at Sequoyah United Methodist Church’s Pumpkin Patch this year. They are a little more spendy than the Wal-Mart variety — but it is a fundraiser for the youth group and supports a Navajo farm in New Mexico — so I guess it is worth it.

Since the kids didn’t have to go to school on Friday, we carved pumpkins Thursday night. Roasting the seeds is MY FAVORITE part of carving pumpkins! We had a pumpking carving kit left over from 2 or 3 (!) years ago . . . Genna opted for the kitty design. Ethan chose the flaming eyes face. Gracie went for the cute, sweet face. What a clown!
